"Protection"

My first time painting acrylic on canvas was July 23, 2023. This is from a film "Butterfly" directed by Cedric Pearson. This was a based on a still photo that I took during film production. This had a subtle homage to Vincent Van Gogh (Starry Night). There was a lot of pain during this moment. This painting is the start of my re-entry into the art space after over 20 years. Prior to this I delved into the digital art space and was still looking for my voice. 

My earlier studies in art were mostly sketching with charcoal, ink, and colored pencils. So technically I didn't start painting until 2023.
